I was a replacement performer for 9 blisteringly intense performances.

(Of course, that was only about 10% of the shows they did during the New York run.)

I was scared to death.

Still, everyone in the cast was absolutely amazing, and I just adore host Patrick Bristow.

It wound up being okay in that I got through it and nobody died.

(Yes, that is often my definition of success.)

So, what have we learned, kids?

That there are certain things you can never prepare for. Oh well.
